The Program for Psychology and Spiritual Life
A vital aspect of our work at Milwaukee Psychotherapy Collaborative is the time devoted to others in helping professions and religious life. Our program for Psychology and Spiritual Life offers psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and consultation.
Our program for psychology and spiritual life offers psychological services for ministers of all faith traditions. Recommendations to facilitate healing and growth are made based on the assessment results. We work with individuals from various faith traditions, denominations, dioceses, and religious orders to identify strengths as well as areas for growth. Commonly, individuals referred for a clinical assessment are either in the process of applying for seminary or acceptance into a religious, though they may also be established clergy experiencing challenges in their ministry and/or interpersonal relationships. Our assessments are always a collaborative process between evaluators, the client, and if needed, religious leaders. Our mental health services for people of faith are open to any individual who values the integration and respect for his or her religious faith, attention to the spiritual dimension of life, as well as professionally-accepted treatment models. This approach allows us to work with members of any religious or spiritual tradition, collaborating with the guidance of their own religious leaders when applicable. |
